To the west, residents can access the Crystal River Preserve State Park, and St. Martin’s Marsh Aquatic Preserve. To the southwest is the Chassahowitzka River and Coastal River Swamps. To the south is the Citrus Wildlife Management Area, and to the northeast, there is the Halpata Tastanaki Preserve and the Ross Prairie State Forest.
